industry, Ash Grove Cement Company, headquartered
in Overland Park, Kansas, operates cement plants in
nine states across the country. The Ash Grove Cement
Company has a strong and longstanding tradition of
service, reliability, and quality that reaches back
more than 125 years. A pioneer of the lime and cement
industries, the Company was incorporated in Missouri
in 1882 as the Ash Grove White Lime Association.
The nine cement plants operating in
the Ash Grove system are some of the most efficient
and best maintained in the country and have an annual
production capacity of nearly 9 million tons of cement.
Ash Grove is the sixth largest cement manufacturer
in the United States. The quality portland and masonry
cements produced at these plants are used in the construction
of highways, bridges, commercial and industrial complexes,
single and multi-family homes, and a myriad of other
structures fundamental to America's economic vitality
and quality of life.
In addition to our cement manufacturing
facilites, the Company operates two deep water import terminals
west of the Mississippi, a major quarry operation in
Blubber Bay, B.C. Canada, extensive ready-mix operations
in the Midwest, and packaging operations throughout
the Midwest and West.

departments are located in Portland, OR, for the Western
division, Houston, TX, for the Texas division, and
at the company's headquarters in Overland Park, KS,
for the Midwest division.
