Ash Grove's research program, established more than 70 years ago, is centered in a laboratory at Overland Park, Kansas. It is one of the best equipped privately owned laboratories in the nation for research, testing, analysis and evaluation of lime, cement, concrete and aggregates. The lab is AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) certified for cement, aggregate, concrete testing and analysis as well as KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) certified for environmental analysis. The technical center is also used extensively to test alternate fuels and help set the standards for alternate fuels materials that are acceptable to Ash Grove for safety and environmental purposes.

The laboratory serves as a resource for Ash Grove customers, providing personalized technical service. Ash Grove's laboratory also provides quality control services for our plants as well as assisting in the development and testing of new products.
