Montana City Plant
In the northern reaches of the United States, our Montana City plant sits just outside Helena, Montana, where rugged landscapes meet the growing needs of regional infrastructure. Since beginning operations in 1964, the plant has helped supply cement for construction and transportation projects throughout the Mountain West.
Over the decades, the plant has adapted alongside the communities it serves. Equipment upgrades and process improvements have helped the operation evolve while maintaining the steady production needed to support construction across a largely rural region.
Chemical and mechanical engineers; quality control and laboratory technicians; plant operators; and occupational health, safety and environmental specialists run the plant, maintain equipment and control production, while the logistics, marketing and sales teams work together supporting customers.
The plant manufactures a wide range of products from traditional and advanced/blended cements engineered for evolving standards and project needs that customers can trust for their most demanding construction requirements.
The Montana City plant serves as an important employer in the region, supporting about 100 direct jobs and helping sustain additional roles across the area.
The plant also reflects an ongoing focus on environmental performance. Investments in modern emissions-control systems, energy-efficiency upgrades and environmental management practices help ensure operations meet high environmental standards while supporting safe and reliable production.
This plant is also home to a Sapphire Americas facility, supporting alternative fuel solutions that help reduce waste and improve efficiency in cement manufacturing.
The Montana City plant maintains strong ties to the local community. From educational tours for students to supporting local organizations and projects, these efforts reflect our company’s commitment to the region it is proud to serve.
