Congressional Staff Visit Ash Grove’s Seattle Plant

AUGUST 11, 2026 – Ash Grove recently welcomed more than 20 congressional staff members participating in a Center Forward visit to our Seattle plant. Center Forward is an organization that brings together stakeholders and policymakers to encourage dialogue and a greater understanding of issues affecting communities and industries across the country. 

For more than a century, the Seattle plant has played an important role in supporting growth across the Pacific Northwest. Since beginning operations in 1920, the plant has supplied cement for critical infrastructure, from airports and transit systems to buildings that shape Seattle’s skyline. 

Visits like these help us engage policymakers in meaningful discussions, educate them about cement production and infrastructure needs, and showcase the impact our people and products have in building stronger, more resilient communities.
