Ash Grove Supports Houston’s Surface Water Supply Project

MARCH 24, 2026 – Ash Grove is contributing to Houston’s Surface Water Supply Project, providing approximately 10,000 tons of Portland Limestone Cement for this large-scale infrastructure initiative. The project includes the construction of 55 miles of pipeline, tunnels, and two pump stations.

As Greater Houston continues to grow, maintaining and expanding water infrastructure is critical. This multi-year effort will transport surface water from Lake Houston to the City’s Northeast Water Purification Plant, while also expanding the plant’s capacity to meet increasing demand.

Once complete, the project will play an important role in strengthening Houston’s water system and supporting the region’s future.
